Sama halnya dengan The Game Awards, terdapat salah satu ajang penghargaan gaming yang tak kalah populer yaitu Golden Joystick Awards. Ajang tersebut merupakan salah satu acara gaming tertua yang pernah diadakan. Sehingga, tak heran apabila nominatornya pun terdiri dari sejumlah game-game yang berkualitas.
Tahun ini, Golden Joystick Awards 2021 sudah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 23 November lalu, dimana pemenangnya pun juga sudah diumumkan. Pemilihan pemenang tentunya berdasarkan voting para gamer. Sekedar info, pemilihan pemenang Goden joystick Awards awalnya hanya dapat dilakukan oleh penduduk di Britania Raya saja, karena memang acara tersebut berasal dari negara tersebut. Untuk tahun ini, Dark Souls berhasil memenangkan Ultimate Game of All Time yang merupakan penghargaan sebagai game terbaik sepanjang masa. Sama halnya dengan platform PC yang dinobatkan sebagai Ultimate Gaming Hardware of All Time atau perangkat gaming terbaik sepanjang masa. Uniknya lagi, Nominasi tersebut diterima oleh Gabe Newell selaku CEO Valve Corporation, lantaran memang dirinya merupakan salah satu orang paling berpengaruh terhadap industri PC Gaming.
